Vancouver Christmas: The Greater Vancouver Zoo’s Arctic Nights is one of the region’s most enchanting winter traditions, offering a unique blend of holiday lights, festive activities, and family fun. Each December, visitors are invited to step into a storybook winter wonderland filled with glowing animal silhouettes, holiday treats, and magical experiences for all ages.

In 2024, Arctic Nights ran from December 20 to December 31, 2024. At this time, the dates for the 2025 event have not yet been announced.

  Staff will do their best to accommodate you on the next available train. Larger groups may face longer wait times, and an additional late-night train typically runs to ensure everyone gets a ride.

• Can groups sit together?
  Seating is first-come, first-served. Arrive early to increase your chances of sitting together.

• Can my child sit on my lap?
  Children under 2 may ride on a parent’s lap without a ticket. Children over 2 require their own ticket and seat.

• Will I see animals during the event?
  Due to low lighting, animals are generally not visible at night. Some earlier train rides may offer limited sightings.
