Christmas at the Cannery 2025: Festival of Trees – A Steveston Holiday Tradition
🎄✨ The Gulf of Georgia Cannery Society is delighted to present the annual Christmas at the Cannery: Festival of Trees 2025 in Steveston, Richmond. Running from Monday, December 1 to Wednesday, December 24, 2025, this cherished holiday tradition transforms the historic Cannery into a festive winter wonderland filled with beautifully decorated trees, community spirit, and family-friendly activities.

🕙 Hours: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily (closing early at 2:00 PM on December 24)
🎟️ Admission: Regular admission applies (except on Dec 7, when admission is free)
Event Highlights
🎄 Festival of Trees
Tour the Cannery and admire trees decorated by local merchants, businesses, and community groups. Each tree is uniquely themed to reflect festive traditions and stories. Visitors are invited to vote for their favourite tree, with winners announced after the festival.
🎅 Santa at the Cannery – Free Admission Day
On Sunday, December 7, 2025, enjoy free admission as Santa and Mrs. Claus visit the Cannery. From 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, families can take photos with Santa inside the Boiler House Theatre. Photo tickets are first-come, first-served and available starting at 10:30 AM. Families must bring their own cameras to capture the moment.
🍪 Fish Tales Recipe Exchange & Ornament Crafting
From December 1 to December 24, families can:

Share holiday recipes on the Cannery’s “What’s Cooking?” Recipe Exchange Wall and take home new ones to try.

Kids can make their own Fish Tales-themed ornaments at the Cannery Kids Corner.
