As Daylight Standard Time returns on November 1st, Granville Island lights up the night with its twinkling winter lighting, brightening the island through the shorter winter days. These enchanting lights stay on until March, accompanying visitors until Daylight Savings Time returns.
Starting on November 12th, after Remembrance Day, the holiday and Christmas light display comes alive. Visitors are invited to stroll through Granville Island’s open spaces, from the iconic Public Market to the Granville Island Hotel, under the glow of festive lights that illuminate almost 40 acres. This open-air experience offers a magical atmosphere, whether you walk under the stars or an umbrella. Enjoy unique local shopping at retail stores and artist studios before or after dining at one of the fantastic restaurants or bars on the island.
The lights are on daily from sundown and admission remains free, with temporary free parking available.

- Star Display: See the beautiful star shining bright in the Public Market courtyard.
- Vintage Crane: Check out the lit-up crane near the Granville Island Hotel.
- Musical Notes: Look up for large musical notes illuminating the space.
