Prime Video has two things going for it at Christmas. It now makes big-budget holiday movies of its own, and in Canada it’s also one of the easiest ways to watch W Network’s Hallmark Christmas movies without cable, through the STACKTV add-on.
This year’s headliner is Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Santa. Here’s what’s new on Prime Video for Christmas 2026, the originals already on the service, and how to get the Hallmark movies.
New Prime Video Christmas Movies in 2026
| Date | Title | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Mon, Nov 23 | Clashing Through the Snow | Rom-com |
| Wed, Dec 2 | The Man with the Bag | Christmas heist comedy |
Clashing Through the Snow (November 23)
A holiday rom-com starring Christopher Briney and Michelle Randolph, directed by Carlson Young. The supporting cast is a strange and fun mix: Paris Hilton plays a version of herself, alongside Julia Fox, Lukas Gage and Tan France. November 23 is the announced US date; Prime Video originals usually arrive in Canada the same day.
The Man with the Bag (December 2)
Someone has stolen Santa’s magic bag, and Santa (Arnold Schwarzenegger) has to get it back before Christmas. His plan is to recruit a thief from the Naughty List, played by Alan Ritchson, who puts together a crew of misfits, with elves and reindeer joining along the way. Awkwafina plays the rogue elf behind the theft, and Liza Koshy, Ken Jeong and Jane Krakowski round out the cast. Adam Shankman directs. It premieres globally on Prime Video.
Prime Video Christmas Originals to Stream Now
- Red One (2024): Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans go looking for a kidnapped Santa. A big, loud action-comedy for the whole family.
- Candy Cane Lane (2023): Eddie Murphy will do anything to win his neighbourhood’s Christmas decorating contest. If that sounds familiar, our Christmas lights in Vancouver guide has a few streets that take it just as seriously.
- Your Christmas or Mine? (2022) and Your Christmas or Mine 2 (2023): a British rom-com about a couple who each secretly head to the other’s family for Christmas.
Prime Video also carries a rotating set of licensed holiday films each December, often older studio comedies. Search “Christmas” in the app from mid-November to see what’s included with your membership and what costs extra to rent.
How to Watch W Network’s Hallmark Movies on Prime Video
In Canada, the Hallmark Countdown to Christmas premieres air on W Network, and W Network is part of STACKTV, a channel bundle you can add to Prime Video. With STACKTV you can watch the new movies live at 8 PM ET/PT or catch up on demand. The full 2026 schedule, all 34 movies, is in our list of W Network Christmas movies for 2026.
STACKTV is a paid add-on on top of your Prime membership, and it usually has a free trial, so time the trial to the busiest stretch of premieres in late November and early December.
