Netflix keeps the Christmas movies coming every November, and 2026 is no different. This year’s slate has a corgi, a Tyler Perry church musical, a Montana ranch fake-dating plot, and a time-loop rom-com that was filmed right here in Vancouver and Whistler.
Here’s every new Netflix Christmas movie for 2026 with its Canadian release date, plus the holiday favourites already on the service.

A Dog’s Perfect Christmas (November 4)
Dennis Quaid plays a grieving grandfather who isn’t in the mood for Christmas, until his granddaughter and a very determined corgi puppy get involved. Milo Ventimiglia, Mary Steenburgen and Jennifer Tilly co-star. This is the one to put on with the kids and grandparents in the same room.
Tyler Perry’s The Gospel of Christmas (November 11)
A pastor inherits a struggling New York church and has to bring it back to life before Christmas. With Tank, Fantasia Barrino, Yolanda Adams and CeCe Winans in the cast, expect the music to do a lot of the heavy lifting.
The Christmas Switch (November 12)
A Swedish holiday comedy about twin sisters who swap lives over Christmas. Watch it with subtitles if you can; the dubs on Netflix’s European Christmas films tend to flatten the jokes.
Guarding Stars (November 18)
Leighton Meester plays a security agent who goes undercover as an action star’s girlfriend, played by Jared Padalecki, at his family’s Montana ranch for the holidays. Andie MacDowell plays his mother. Fake dating plus snow is a Netflix specialty.
In a Holidaze (December 2)
The local pick. Maddie Ziegler stars as a woman stuck reliving the same Christmas over and over, with Graham Phillips, Rob Lowe and Patton Oswalt. It was shot in Vancouver and Whistler, so expect to recognize a few snowy streets. If it puts you in the mood, Merry & Bright at Martini Town in Langley lets you walk through a real film set dressed for Christmas.
Gabby’s Dollhouse: Makers and Bakers Holiday (December 9)
A holiday special for preschoolers. December 9 is the confirmed US date; it’s usually the same in Canada.
Also Coming to Netflix for the Holidays
Netflix also adds licensed holiday titles in November, such as The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024) and Christmas with the Coopers, along with cozy series like The Mistletoe Murders and the Great British Baking Show holiday specials. These dates were announced for the US, and licensing in Canada can differ, so search the app before you plan a movie night around one.
