Walk the West Vancouver seawall in December and you’ll pass tree after tree, more than 150 of them, each decorated by a different family, school, business or local group. It’s called the Forest of Miracles, and together with four Saturdays of music it makes up the Dundarave Festival of Lights. The festival calls it the largest outdoor tree display in the region, and it doesn’t cost anything to see.
The 2026 festival runs from November 28, 2026 into early January 2027. Performers and exact times for 2026 haven’t been posted yet, so here’s the Saturday schedule as announced and how to plan a visit.

The Forest of Miracles
More than 150 outdoor Christmas trees line the waterfront, each one lit and decorated by someone in the community. The trees go up on the last Saturday of November and stay until early January, and the festival says it raises money for local programs along the way.
It’s a good walk at dusk, when the trees light up against the water and the city lights come on across the water.
The 2026 Saturday Concerts
Four Saturdays in a row have concerts and activities from noon to dusk, each with its own theme:
- Saturday, November 28: Dundarave Christmas Fair
- Saturday, December 5: Nativity and Paddle Songs
- Saturday, December 12: World Christmas
- Saturday, December 19: Christmas Wassail & Bonfire

Performers and exact times for 2026 aren’t on the website yet. One thing to watch: in 2025 the Wassail & Bonfire day ran from 3:00 to 8:00 PM rather than noon to dusk, so check the times for December 19 before you go.
Where It Is

More on the North Shore
Dundarave pairs well with the other North Shore Christmas outings:

- The Peak of Christmas on Grouse Mountain.
- The free Shipyards Christmas Market in North Vancouver, with a rink and free Santa photos.
