Surrey has quietly become one of the busiest Christmas cities in the region. It has the old Bright Nights lights from Stanley Park, the biggest evening Santa parade in Metro Vancouver, a free two-day tree lighting festival with skating and Santa, and a Christmas store the size of a warehouse. Down the hill, White Rock adds a seaside light walk and an old-fashioned Christmas festival.

The Highlights
- Noël Surrey is the big one: the Burn Fund’s Bright Nights display, a Christmas market, rides and a holiday village, 3:00 to 9:30 PM nightly. Kids 6 and under are free, and parking is included.
- The Santa Parade of Lights is the 20th annual, with big rigs and boats covered in lights. Bring a food bank donation and get there early.
- The Surrey Tree Lighting Festival has free skating (new this year) and free photos with Santa, which need a free reservation from November 4.
- Bear Creek Lights is a one-kilometre lit garden loop, free with a ticket.
- The Bear Creek Park Christmas Train runs a daytime Santa train and an evening Grinch train. 2026 dates haven’t been posted.
- WinterFest at the Museum of Surrey in Cloverdale is a calm, free holiday celebration. 2026 dates to come.

A Surrey Christmas Evening
Spend the afternoon at the Christmas Store at Potters, then head to the Cloverdale Fairgrounds for Noël Surrey as the lights come on. On November 29, time it with the Santa Parade of Lights, which starts and ends at the same fairgrounds.
