Hycroft is the grand Edwardian mansion on McRae Avenue in Shaughnessy, and for four days every November it opens its doors for Christmas shopping. More than 40 local artisans set up in the decorated rooms, the Hycroft Knitters bring their much-loved handiwork, and two little shops sell garden-made décor and homemade treats. The organizers call it one of Vancouver’s most beloved holiday traditions, and half the fun is just walking through the house.
