The Chilliwack Christmas Parade is an annual evening parade in the Fraser Valley, about 100 kilometres east of Vancouver. It is supported by a long list of local sponsors, and the organizers invite volunteers and groups to take part.
The 2026 parade is on Saturday, November 28, at 5:30 PM. Here is what the organizers have published, and how to plan your night. For every other parade in the region, see our guide to Santa Claus parades in Metro Vancouver.

The Parade
The Chilliwack Christmas Parade starts at 5:30 PM on Saturday, November 28, 2026. The official site is where the organizers post the route, road closures, volunteer sign-ups and information for groups who want to take part. The site does not describe the parade’s lineup, theme or this year’s edition number, so this guide does not either.
The Route and Road Closures
The route map is posted on the organizers’ route page as an image and a downloadable PDF. The page also has a road-closure map, which was marked “available soon” when we checked. Because some files on the site still carry 2025 labels, make sure the map you are looking at is for 2026.
Washrooms and Safety
The route page lists washrooms along the route, including indoor washrooms at Chilliwack Community Services, The Vineyard Community Center and College Street Victory Church. A portable washroom beside the BIA office at 5 Corners on Young Street is marked as accessible. The page also says RCMP officers will be patrolling the route. Confirm the washroom hours on the page, since it mixes 2025 and 2026 material.
Getting There and Parking
The organizers’ site does not mention parking. Expect road closures downtown and allow extra time, particularly if you are driving from outside Chilliwack. The closure map is the best guide to which streets to avoid. For specific questions, email ProjectManager@chilliwackchristmasparade.ca.

Tips for Visiting
- Look at the route and closure maps before you leave. They are the most useful planning tools.
- Arrive early. The parade starts at 5:30 PM, and downtown roads will be closed, so give yourself time to park and find a spot.
- Dress warmly and bring a rain layer. It is an outdoor evening in late November.
- Keep children close. The route has road closures and RCMP patrols.
- Follow the organizers on Facebook for last-minute updates.
More Christmas in Chilliwack and the Fraser Valley
- Christmas at District 1881 has a 40-foot tree and Santa’s Workshop right downtown, so you can make an evening of it around the parade.
- Christmas at Greendale Acres offers farm lights and a train ride (2026 dates to come).
- Cultus Lake Christmas, the Saturday before, with fireworks at 7:45 PM.
- Lights by the Lake in Harrison Hot Springs, nightly from November 21.
The next evening, Sunday, November 29, the Surrey Santa Parade of Lights rolls through Cloverdale.
